The Lefebvre Hanneman Consultancy (LHC) owns and operates the LHC Adlaw News database. All users and subscribers to whom LHC has given access to its online news database must agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

Restrictions on the use of materials
All news articles on the database, e-newsletters or e-mail updates belong to LHC. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use our database materials for the exclusive purposes of research, providing professional services to your colleagues, members or clients or providing academic services to students. This license is subject to the following limitations:

  1. The right to electronically display the materials retrieved from the Adlaw News database is limited to the creation of internal e-newsletters, research papers or teaching material and formally excludes the posting on any publicly accessible part of a website. This right is further subject to the obligation of mentioning our copyright and trademark: © 2009 copyright and database rights owned by LHC.
  2. You have not the right to reproduce material retrieved from LHC Adlaw News in printed material such as leaflets, promotional brochures, on posters, in advertisements or in books.
  3. The database or its content may not be downloaded in its entirety, nor may any user create another database in electronic or structured manual form by systematically downloading and storing any or all of its content.
  4. LHC reserves the right to block access to the site to any user who would be making downloads from the site which LHC would deem suspicious.


Sub-licensing
You may not, for any reason, sub-license or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these terms and conditions.

Limitations of liability
The users and subscribers of the LHC Adlaw News database expressly acknowledge and agree that the site is subject to disclaimers and limitations of liability set out in these terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them.

The materials on this site are provided “as is” without any warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security or accuracy.

LHC will not be liable for any damages or injury caused by, including but not limited to, any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation of transmission, computer virus, line failure, technical inaccuracies, typographical errors, or the inability to use the materials on this site, even if there is negligence on the part of LHC.

Force majeure
While LHC will make all reasonable efforts to provide good service by minimizing delays, or interruptions in the delivery of the service, we will not be liable to subscribers in any manner whatsoever for any consequences of such delay or interruption.

Failure or delay by LHC to perform its obligations to the subscriber as a result of circumstances outside LHC’s reasonable control will not constitute a breach of our service agreement.

Jurisdiction
LHC is a company with limited liability registered under Belgian Law. For any disputes arising over LHC Adlaw News, Belgian Law will apply and users agree that any dispute will be filed in Belgium under the jurisdiction of Belgian Courts.
